Somebody told me once that Chinese immigrants to Toronto have a nickname for the city that translates as "the city in the trees". I have no idea if that's true or not, but it's charming enough, so I'll go with it. This blog will be about things and sights of interest to me in and around the city.
The picture of the dandelion reminds me of a photo my uncle Tom shot of me when I was about four or five ... sitting in a patch of grass picking dandelions and blowing fuzzy tops off into the air. Though I think he put me up to it for the sake of a cute photo. Hmm, I wonder if we still have a copy of that around somewhere? Haven't seen it for years. : ) Good memory though.
Thanks... just a quick wander to a local park a couple of days ago. Fantastic as the Rebel XT is, I have to admit, for a hundred and twenty bucks or so, that little Kodak P&S is amazing for close-up shots. I blush to think what the equivalent lens for the XT would cost me. Probably more than the XT.

Ah, a budding love of nature even then. You should take a tripod, go find some dandelions, and do the follow-up shot. :)
